About Rina — Newborn, Maternity & Family Photographer in Canton Schwyz

My name is Rina, and I am a professional Newborn, Maternity, and Family photographer based in Lachen, Canton Schwyz, near Zurich.

I am 33 years old, originally from Belarus, and I hold a degree in Accounting. I spent seven years living in China and have been living in Switzerland for the past two years. These experiences helped me connect easily with people from different cultures and backgrounds — an important part of working closely with families and children.

My interest in photography began early with my father’s camera. Later, working as a model allowed me to experience photography from the client’s perspective and understand how important it is to feel comfortable, relaxed, and gently guided during a session. I received my first camera at the age of 19, and photography has been part of my life ever since.

A key part of my professional journey was working as a Kindergarten English teacher, where I discovered my love for working with children. This experience shaped my calm and patient approach and naturally led me to specialize in newborn photography, maternity photography, and family photography.

My style is timeless and classic, with soft boho-inspired elements. I could never choose between a natural, emotional style with a boho mood and classic newborn photography with studio lighting and gentle posing — so I offer both. This allows each family to choose the style that feels most authentic to them. I focus on natural emotions, gentle connections, and simple, honest moments.

All sessions take place in my home newborn photography studio in Lachen, fully prepared for parents and babies. I provide all essential props, professional clothing options for parents, siblings, and babies, as well as a warm, baby-friendly environment with a heater, bottle warmer, disposable wrap pads, and wet wipes. Snacks, tea, coffee, and water are available to ensure a relaxed experience.

Each session is baby-led and unhurried, with your baby’s comfort and safety as my top priority. I do not limit my sessions by time, as the result and your baby’s well-being are what matter most to me. I strongly believe that calmness and the absence of rush are essential in newborn photography. Every baby is unique and needs their own time for feeding, soothing, and breaks, which is why each session fully adapts to your baby’s individual needs.

I welcome families and expecting parents from Canton Schwyz, Zurich, Zug, Lucerne, Glarus, and surrounding areas. Lachen is conveniently located just 30–60 minutes from these cities.
